I had a session with a little boy at the beach on Thursday. Here are some of my favorites!

Once upon a time...

...I was a nanny for a set of twins. I started caring for them when they were just 3 months old. I stopped when they were about a year and a half. This family is where my photography business began- I took hundreds of photos of them with the family camera. Since then my business has blossomed into what it is today. I have been so busy since, not able to visit for one reason or another. It had been about a year and a half since I had seen them! We had a photo session yesterday and my heart melted when I saw those faces. I had forgotten how much they have stolen my heart. I didn't realize how much I missed them until yesterday. Here are some photos from the day. The last one is of me and the boys... they wanted a ride on the swing with me and I couldn't resist!!

My last day as a nanny!

After five years of caring for so many children,  the chapter of my life of being Nanny Mary has come to an end.  It's so hard to believe!  I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for all the children I cared for over the years... I am blessed to have had the opportunity to learn so much from so many children...and so blessed to have the job of being a part of so many more families as I become their family photographer.

It's been a tough week!

Monday is almost here and I had a tough week. My whole family was with my Grammy when she passed away last weekend and we had her funeral a few days later. I was sick that day and worse the next so I went to the docs and he ordered some tests and gave me meds. I spent the beautiful weekend indoors which made me sad. I am almost back to myself as we begin another week. This is the last week I am a part time nanny to two little sweet kids, and next week I begin my senior year as an uncool 28 year old college student, and during that same week I will be transitioning to a new computer (from PC to Mac!). *PHEW*. Life is always bringing you something isn't it?

I have some photos that I would like to share from last weekend, I just have to get around to doing so!

I'm in bed sick

If anyone is trying to reach me, I am sorry but I am sick this weekend so I might be hard to get in touch with. I went to the hospital for some tests and am on some meds to heal me. Again, thank you for your patience!!
