One of many projects!

It has been a crazy few months. Never been so busy in my life!! With the wedding planning, the closing on our house coming up, graduation just around the corner, who has time to think? ;) So many things going on, so many projects and so much to look forward to!

Here is one project I am working on... it is cyanotypes in the sun. I am creating fabric cyanotypes to later make into a quilt. It is a lot of fun and a good excuse to get outside!






A short, sweet explanation: The first image I finished coating the piece of fabric. I am using a work light in a basement with the windows completely blocked off. The work light does not affect the chemicals. The second and third photos are the chemical-soaked fabric being exposed to the sun. The second one is about 5 seconds after I placed it on the deck, and as you can see the changes already began. The colors went from yellow to blueish to greenish. The third one is a few minutes before I took it inside. The fourth image is the fabric being rinsed in water, now the blue shows up and this is what the final product looks like!

A February session

This little boy was soo sweet!! Mommy is about to have a little brother! Can't wait to take the hospital photos!!

Too much...

So today I am not feeling well and I don't blame my body for telling me to slow down- too much on my plate and I don't give myself a day off!!! So I am forced to have a day off today and I have to put the list of things to do (including some DVD slideshows in progress and wedding CDs I am working on) aside... *sigh*.

Saturday's session

I had a session with a 9 month old baby on Saturday...yes, we had several wardrobe changes!! Mom had a few outfits ready for our session! So cute!!
He is getting soo big! We have had sessions every three months and I cannot believe our last session is coming up!!!

Back to a crazy life!

So classes start up again on Monday. Finally I am able to say that I am entering my last semester ever! These next few months will be filled with projects from my six classes, wedding plans, house hunting, photo sessions with children, and possibly a very part time nanny/babysitter job on the side (yeah, call me crazy but seeing that I have a wedding and house in my near future I see that I need to do what I can! Anyone need a sitter once a week? I am available!) Anyways... I do thrive on being busy, and having my schedule change every few months, so I will miss that part of my life. On the other hand, I won't miss it that much- I am so ready to finally start a family!! I am so excited!!

Vacation was great!

Hello! I am back from vacation and it was full of events! I got engaged, got a couple of kayaks from my fiance, the power outage was a pain in the butt, 11 days in Florida for Christmas was superb, and now I am back!
