Back to the basics
When I started my photography business I had a vision. No posing, no props - no fake anything. To document childhood and family naturally, to tell a story. But then I got caught up in the world of using backdrops, props and posing newborns like every other photographer - only I didn't go as far as most photographers do. I just felt I had to do it because I needed to. Not sure why I felt the need to follow - I never was one to follow other people, ever. Never did something just because everyone else was doing it. So why was I doing it now? Not quite sure. It hit me when I was looking at my portfolio and saw a photo I did of a newborn molded into a cocoon/bowl shaped scarf and a photo of a newborn in her cradle, laying as she naturally did on her own - her personal gestures of her arms and feet, laying on the sheet her mom picked out and the cradle her Grampy made. What does the photo of the newborn in the cocoon say about the baby? Not much, really. We can see what he looked like at that age but does the cocoon have anything to do with him? No. Does the pose he is in tell anything about him? No, I molded him that way. It just makes no sense to me!! So anyway... after all that time experimenting in the world of fake portraits I am back to my own creativity and vision. No more props, no more backgrounds and no molding newborns!! Time to get back on track! :)

Album Theme - Frills & Frames, Modern white
Modern White:
This is a fresh, clean theme. Here is an example of a spread your album would contain.
Each page layout would be determined by the images I have to work with.

Blue eyed beauty
I had a session with a beautiful baby girl on a cold rainy day. She was such a little model for the camera!!
Indoors at my place!
I am itching for my own studio so that I have the option to have winter sessions in a studio. I got a taste of it and boy do I want a studio!!!

Blogging?
I am not good with words. I express myself through my camera. I wish I could hire someone to type for me. I am trying to be more descriptive in my blog entries, describing what my sessions are like. I dream of having a blog with beautiful flowing words but it is just not me. I guess everything takes practice, right? Oh well. We shall see.
