New England winters seem to last FOREVER. As most of you may know I work mostly outdoors and living in New Hampshire limits the days of running around on green lawns. I am trying to be more accommodating to what the weather gives me and it seems to be working well for me. The challenge is finding space in a home where a family can act like a family while I have room to photograph them. Photographing a baby indoors is not as much of a challenge since no matter what, baby is beautiful and baby is comfortable in his or her home. With this family, we spent time in a very spacious living room, which is where I created the first five images below. We went out to the closed in porch warmed by a wood stove, using an ottoman and the wall of the porch to create the sixth and seventh photographs down. We went to the master bed, which had a beautiful headboard. This was a perfect setting for a family portrait. And of course we spent time in the little girl's room, where she read with mommy and daddy (with dog listening in of course!) I used this time to go in close to big sister's face and used her beautiful window seat to photograph the little model :). These of course are just a small selection of the images created from their session.
Winters here may be long but I can manage! :)
